Mezzanine floors are the floor levels within a building that are located between the main structural floors of the building. Mezzanine floors are frequently installed in industrial facilities in order to maximise the storage capacity of a warehouse or production plant. Mezzanine floors can also be installed with offices on in order to increase occupiable working space. They are also commonly installed in retail stores, airports and other public places to make full use of the height of a building.
Mezzanine floors are made from hot rolled steel beams and columns, interlinked with cold rolled joists and overlayed in a decking. They are easy and fast to construct and can be dismantled and relocated if required.
