Mezzanine Floor Staircases
Invicta have many years experience in designing appropriate staircases for each mezzanine floor installed, and we will happily advise on meeting the required Building Regulations. Legislations recently introduced require at least one Ambulant Disabled Staircase that complies with Approved Document M of the Building Regulations shoud be fitted to mezzanine floors used for storage. A lift should be provided for office use mezzanine floors.
Invicta’s approved inspector can provide you with expert advice on these regulations and show examples of where a simpler Type K staircase may be an acceptable alternative.
All of our mezzanine floor staircases are finished with a powder coating to give a professional, glossy and highly durable finish.
Powder Coated Finish
All of our mezzanine floors and their ancillary items are finished in high quality powder coated finishes, including handrail posts and tubes, staircases, swing gates, safety gates, steel kickplates snd sliding access gates.
Powder coating finishes provide superb resistance to corrosion, optimum mechanical properties and minimum loss of gloss finish. All of our mezzanine floor structures are available in a wide range of colours, and Invicta's powder coating finished ancillary items ensure that your new mezzanine floor reflects your corporate colour scheme perfectly and at no additional cost.
Edge Protection
Invicta mezzanine floors feature a unique edge protection system, which provides a professional looking solution to any exposed perimeter edges of your floor, and integrates both handrails and toe plates into the handrail post.
The 100mm high, flat-sided oval profile of the steel toe plate slots into the centre of the handrail post, providing a robust edge with no visible sharp edges or bolts. The toe plate conforms to BS5395 Part 3:1985 and is designed to sustain a characteristic uniformly distributed, imposed horizontal loading of 1.0kN/m and a characteristic point load of 0.5kN. The toe plate is powder coated to give a highly durable finish with excellent gloss retention.
The 1120mm high, rolled hollow section handrail posts are set at 1500mm centres, and include tubular hand and knee rails running through the centre of the post, giving a bolt-free finish. The handrail is designed to safely sustain a minimum characteristic imposed horizontal line loading of 0.74kN/m. The rails and posts are powder coated to give a highly durable finish with excellent gloss retention.
Pallet Gates
Installed at any exposed opening points on the floor perimeters, our roll-over mezzanine floor pallet gates are light-weight and accommodate all standard sized pallets for safe loading and unloading by personnel. All of our pallet gates are finished with a durable, gloss retaining powder coating.
