Mezzanine floors are also known as intermediate floors and are put in between main floors. Many of the common types of mezzanine floors are balconies that are found within churches and theatres, but there are many different types of mezzanine floors that are usually made from materials such as stainless steel, cold rolled steel and structural steel.
These materials will ultimately determine where and how the floor will be used and what amount you will have to pay. The structural steel floors are generally constructed with an open web bar beam which makes it very simple to extend water pipes and electrical conduits through it. It will also provide you with additional working space. It does not take long for construction which is one of the biggest advantages.
If you want to use something that is less expensive, it would be better to use structural steel. However, structural steel is a bit heavier, so if you want something that is lighter, cold rolled steel can be the best alternative. Cold rolled steel has a nice, simple finish and is easy to use in public buildings. Although cold rolled steel is lightweight, it is still able to carry heavy loads. Thus, if you are planning an extension in your office or warehouse, mezzanine flooring is the best option.
