There are many different types of Mezzanine Floor to choose from. The different uses determine which type of floor would be best fit for purpose. Stainless steel, cold rolled steel and structural steel are all used.
The mezzanine floors made of stainless steel are the type that are best used for businesses that require a lots of space to work in, for example food production, as this type of mezzanine floor requires fewer columns.
If the requirement for the floor is to be attractive, for example in public buildings, then it would benefit from being made from cold rolled steel – these are lighter in structure and have a smooth finish. Despite these mezzanine floors being lighter weight than the stainless steel ones, they can still carry huge loads.
If economy is the main requirement of the mezzanine then a structural steel mezzanine floor is the ideal solution. These mezzanine floors are cheaper to produce, but are very heavy. However, this type of mezzanine floor can be used in all the above scenarios.
