Structural Steel for Mezzanine Floors

Mezzanine Floors are purpose built and made to measure.  Mezzanine floors utilise existing space becoming a floor above or in between floors.

Generally Mezzanine floors are made out of structural steel.  However, they can be made out of cold rolled steel or stainless steel depending on what they are going to be use d for.  The Mezzanine floors made out of structural steel are the ones that require column spacing and are generally the ones used in warehouses for storage of heavy materials.    The Mezzanine floors of structural steel are also the cheapest to produce.

The mezzanine floors made out of stainless steel tend to be the ones that need to ‘look good’ and are most often found in public buildings – they also have the advantage of being very light.   However, these come at a price but are well worth it.  Mezzanine Floors made out of stainless steel would look good as an exhibition space or good ion fact be used in a modern contemporary house.

The great thing about a Mezzanine floor is that it is a stand-alone structure so is relatively easy to install.  They revolutionise storage by using space that may up until now have been redundant….
